Dear Parents and Carers,
During this coming week, the children will be practising their public speaking skills by preparing a 1-2 minute presentation on a topic of their choice. It can be news, an item from home, a photo, a toy etc. During the presentations, we will be focussing on what it is an effective presenter does and how a respectful audience behaves. Presentations will be held as we come in from the start of school bell. We have formed presentation groups and they are as follows...
MONDAY : Lacey, Sophie, Demi, Harper, Bailey & Oscar
TUESDAY : Edwina, Kodi, Issac, Rubi, Logan & Seeahla
WEDNESDAY: Lance, Laila, Isla, Abbey, Raffael, Gabriel
THURSDAY : Jayden, Elliot, Maxine, Tahlia & Naite
Please note there will be no presentations on Thursdays as Thursday is our Synthetic Phonics spelling morning and we need to make a quick start to the day.
There will be a note going home at the end of next week detailing our structured Term 1 presentation program, however this next week is just for practise. Please assist your child to choose and rehearse something to present for their allocated day this week.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation and we are all looking forward to some very interesting and informative presentations!
