Recently in maths, we looked at position and direction. We used words such as above, below, left, right, around, under, over, through, opposite, beside, behind, in front etc to describe objects in relation to one another. Here, students are following directions to arrive at a certain location on a given grid. After this, students had to come up with their own directions to arrive at a position on their own grid. They decorated their grid with pictures, including a special picture for the end destination. Students swapped their work with partners to see if their set of directions could be accurately followed.
