What a fun Harmony Day for 2M at Broulee Public School! Our class room features a lovely Harmony Day balloon display as well as a Harmony Day thoughts display. We have been viewing footage of Australian children who have multicultural backgrounds and exploring their feelings of 'belonging' in Australia. We have read a story called 'Hello' which told us how to say 'hello' in many different languages (plus a bit about what country each language was from), we have listened to children's music form all around Asia, we have made bracelets for our assembly decorated with the Zimbabwean 'chevron' design, we sung our "Hello to all the Children of the World" song at assembly dressed in costumes and clothing from all over the world and we enjoyed orange quarters with parents, grandparents and carers when we got back to class for creative play. What a week and what a very meaningful message 2M have been promoting and advocating. Have a look for yourself in our photo gallery...
A note from Miss Taylor..
Our class blog will be added to at the end of every week. Take a few minutes to check out the entries with your child and discuss what they, along with their classmates, have been learning in class over the previous week. I hope you enjoy this special account of your child's time in 2M. Positive and encouraging comments are warmly welcome! Archives
