Stage 1 recently attended a fire safety and information session, conducted by local members of the NSW Rural Fire Service. Year 2 M took part in a talk which told us all about how a fire truck is set up. We learned what equipment is kept on a truck, where it is stored and how it is used. We even got to see the big pressure hose in full action, squirting water high up into the gum trees at the side of the school! The students were thoroughly engaged throughout talk and had some well thought out questions at the ready for the volunteer fire fighters. Broulee Public School are very appreciative of the time the NSW Rural Fire Service give us each year in these very important safety and information sessions for students.
A note from Miss Taylor..
Our class blog will be added to at the end of every week. Take a few minutes to check out the entries with your child and discuss what they, along with their classmates, have been learning in class over the previous week. I hope you enjoy this special account of your child's time in 2M. Positive and encouraging comments are warmly welcome! Archives
