In 2M we have been working with a Japanese type Lego called 'LaQ'. We have been developing our engineering and fine motor skills to create some excellent models!
Our lovely Banksia Village volunteer Marion is pictured here with Rubi, she comes in and helps us every Wednesday morning during our literacy block. Marion assists children as they work through comprehension activities and answer associated questions. We all look forward to Marion coming to visit us each week, we are very lucky to have such a friendly, caring volunteer to devote her time to helping us.
After a whole term devoted to training and skills development to ready students for the athletics carnival, now that it is all over - this week's sport rotation was a bit of fun! Check out the soccer dribbling action at this station last Friday...
What a dynamic day at Broulee Public School this week as Boolbee, Warrigal, Rover and Lee all competed to take out track events in years 2-6. A huge 'high five' to all 2M participants as they ran their fastest in their junior events and tried their very best. It was so lovely to see classmates cheering each other on, congratulating on wins and smoothing over any disappointments. Thank you to all parents and carers who popped in to see the action, I bet you were impressed!
Our class LOVE Kick Ball! We occasionally go out to Captain Oldrey Park to play this baseball style game (only the ball is kicked with your foot instead of hit with a bat). Playing this game teaches us scoring procedures, team-manship, rule following and fair play. Plus, it is heaps of FUN!
Congratulations go to these students... Kodi for making a supreme effort to pass his current Synthetic Phonics level, to Naite for his consistent mature and responsible approach to all tasks and instructions and to Sophie for her exemplary behaviour during Mr. Chalker's Antarctica talk to our class. Also, to Sophie again and to Oscar for their big 50 mark in the Read With Me program. Go 2M!

A note from Miss Taylor..
Our class blog will be added to at the end of every week. Take a few minutes to check out the entries with your child and discuss what they, along with their classmates, have been learning in class over the previous week. I hope you enjoy this special account of your child's time in 2M. Positive and encouraging comments are warmly welcome! Archives
